British Columbia Recap

We have plenty of stories thus far about Bolivia, but I had better do an overview of our wonderful time in BC.
The first day there, Sunday, we had Leon's pig roast. The weather cleared up and it was sunny and hot. The food was spectacular. Aunt Marie made many delicious salads and appetizers, which were besieged by flies.
However, she had an ingenious solution which she learned in Mexico. Apparently, if you fill ziplock bags with water and hang them overhead the flies become frightened of their reflection and leave. This turned into a great source of amusement for the rest of us, but Aunt Marie insisted it worked.
The pig was great, and for dessert the European chocolate fountain with fruit, rice krispy squares, lady fingers, and marshmallows was delicious. Later that evening Emily, Vanessa, Theo and I went bowling. Emily chose 10 pin, and immediately regretted that decision.

On Monday we went to Cultus Lake with Vanessa, Chad, and Bobbi to do some wakeboarding. I was the only one who tried to do some wakeboarding, and after many failed attempts I was frozen and got back in the boat. Vanessa went in for a quick dip later on, but other than that we just boated around the lake.

On Tuesday we had some delicious sushi at this place called Mars sushi (i think), in Abbotsford. It was really good, as Mars had some delicious rolls. The sashimi was also very fresh.
